Music is Medicine Benefit Concert for Mason Lepage 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵

After 6 months of symptoms that ultimately resulted in a seizure while at Hasbro Children’s Hospital ER, on April 24, 2023, Mason was diagnosed with Low Grade Glioma with a BRAFv600E mutation (tumor). Two days later, he had emergency brain surgery to remove the clementine orange-sized tumor that had been growing in his right frontal lobe behind his right eye. The surgeon was able to resect most of the tumor except for a small piece because it is wrapped around the main blood vessel. Due to the tumor being cancerous, Mason will have MRI’s every 3 months to watch that piece to see if it grows. Mason is a 12 year old (turning 13 on Aug. 29th) fun loving boy that loves to play soccer and to tell sarcastic jokes, has now gone through more than any child should. For a time he should be hanging out, playing with friends is now filled with numerous doctor’s appointments and therapy. What we thought were panic attacks and migraines ended up changing our lives forever and especially his as he will have a long journey of recovery while we continue to pray for no reoccurance. As the medical bills are rolling in that is not covered by insurance, co-pays for dr visits, therapy, medications, travel expenses are leaving his family financially overwhelmed.
